The Aurora Education Foundation is an Indigenous organisation that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to realise their full education and employment potential – whether it is completing Year 12 or achieving a PhD from Oxford.
The Curriculum and Learning Leader is a leadership role that has primary responsibility for overseeing, developing and in part, delivering curriculum content for Aurora’s High School Program (HSP). The position works closely with the HSP National Manager and RISE Manager in the development and implementation of teaching and learning so that HSP is responsive to the academic, vocational and personal development needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school participants.
The role is influential in inspiring, affirming and extending the content knowledge and pedagogical approaches of all staff who engage students in their learning, particularly HSP staff and Mentors. This is an identified position, Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of this role.
